C.S. 1 - 34th GRAN PREMIO NUVOLARI (19th) – 20th – 21st – 22nd September - Registrations for the international event of regularity dedicated to the Great Tazio open on March 1st

Mantua, 1st March 2024 - Registrations are open for the 34th edition of the Gran Premio Nuvolari, the international regularity event for historic cars, scheduled from 19th to 22nd September 2024. Competitors will face timed trials to a hundredth of a second and average trials, in amidst breathtaking landscapes, fascinating areas and historic squares of Italy. For 34 years the Organisation's aim has been to create an exclusive event for drivers and enthusiasts, to honor the person who wrote the history of world motoring: the great Tazio Nuvolari. 

From 19 to 22 September 2024, 300 crews from all over the world will tackle a route divided into three stages, for a total of 1,100 km, crossing the most beautiful landscapes of Lombardy, Veneto, Trentino, Emilia Romagna, Tuscany, Marche and the Republic of San Marine.

The event, conceived and organized by Mantova Corse since 1991, will take place in compliance with F.I.A, F.I.V.A. and A.C.I. Sport regulations, with particular attention to the safety protocols of the national sports federation.

The presence of the partners Red Bull, Finservice Group, Locman and Wannenes is confirmed, thanks to which the Gran Premio Nuvolari will offer competitors an adrenaline-filled and exclusive experience, with the aim of combining the pleasure of driving between unique places with high level sporting competition.


The route 2024

The route of the Gran Premio Nuvolari represents the synthesis of many Italian excellences.

On Friday 20th September, as per tradition, the cars will depart from the historic Piazza Sordello, in the heart of Mantua. They will skirt Lake Garda, traveling along the roads of Monte Baldo, until reaching Riva del Garda, where they will stop for a lunch break at the Olivi beach. The stage will continue passing the Lessini Mountains and arriving in Verona for the stamp control in Piazza Bra. Then, they will continue towards Modena arriving in Piazza Grande. The evening will take place at the exclusive location of Villa Cavazza in Corte della Quadra, with an overnight stay in the emblematic city of the Motor Valley Fest.

On Saturday 21st September, the cars will face the second stage. Starting from the Novi Sad Park in Modena they will proceed towards Tuscany, Romagna and Marche. Stamp checks are scheduled in the center of Pistoia, in Piazza del Campo in Siena, in Piazza Grande in Arezzo. In the afternoon the crews will head towards the tests in Pieve Santo Stefano and the Viamaggio Pass. The Republic of San Marino will welcome the event with the last group of timed tests and stamp controls in Piazza della Libertà, on Monte Titano. The arrival of the second stage will be in Rimini, in Piazza Tre Martiri. The day will end with the traditional Gala Dinner in honor of Tazio Nuvolari, in the wonderful Felliniesque location of the Grand Hotel in Rimini.

On Sunday 22nd September, the crews will return to Mantua. The final stage will be challenging, offering decisive tests to decide the final winner. Starting from Rimini, the competitors will face the timed trials in Meldola, then passing through Faenza, as guests of the renovated Formula 1 team "Racing Bulls". The Estense Castle will be the venue for the Ferrara lunch break. It will then be the turn of the return to Mantua, through the stamp controls in Bondeno, Poggio Rusco and Revere. Finally, the arrival in Mantua, after 1,100 km, within the walls of Piazza Sordello.

Registration requirements and terms

Registration requests have to be made exclusively on the website www.gpnuvolari.it , and they can be sent from today, March 1st, until July 31st 2024. The Gran Premio Nuvolari admits cars manufactured from 1919 to 1981, equipped with a F.I.V.A. passport, or F.I.A. Heritage fiche, or ASI Homologation, or ACI Sport/Aci Storico Card, or certificate of registration in the A.A.V.S. historical register.
