Mantova, 1st of March 2022 -  Registration requests open today for the 32nd edition of the Gran Premio Nuvolari,  the international event of regularity for historic cars, scheduled from the 15th to 18th of September 2022. The  purpose is to make the annual tribute to the legendary “Nivola”, with the engage of the organization of a special and  exclusive event, an event dedicated to the historic cars with the aim of thrilling visitors and passionate and to  celebrate the legend of the driver who made the history of the automobile. 

From 15th to 18th of September 2022 the crews will face a 3 steps route: 1.100 km across the beauties of Nord and  Centre Italy, passing through Lombardy, Emilia Romagna, Tuscany and Veneto.  
The event, conceived and organised since 1991 by Mantova Corse, will take place in compliance of F.I.A., F.I.V.A. and A.C.I. Sport, with a particular attention to anti covid ministerial protocols and of the national sporting federation.  

Red Bull, Tag Heuer and Finservice are confirmed, together with the very welcome return from Banca Generali,  thanks to which the “Nuvolari” will propose to the 300 participants coming from the 5 continents an exciting and  unique experience, aimed at merging the pleasure of the most exclusive tourism with the sporting competition,  discovering evocative and particularly valuable places. 

The route 2022 
The itinerary of Gran Premio Nuvolari represents the synthesis of the Italian excellences.  

It starts with something new: on Thursday 15th of September, after the pre-race checks, it will take place a nighty  prologue, a city route of 7,5 km across the streets of Mantua. It will be a special greeting to the city of Mantova reserved to the foreigner participants coming from all over the world. 

On Friday 16th of September the historic cars will start from Piazza Sordello, the heart of the Lombard city. We’ll  cross the suggestive streets of Emilia, until coming to Modena Circuit: break for the lunch and timed trials. We’ll  continue then across the Apennines and then to the Imola Circuit, in the famous ”Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari”  of Formula 1, finally on the Romagna hills towards the Adriatic Sea with arrival in Cesenatico. The first evening will  open in the superb location of the Grand Hotel Da Vinci. Later, the overnight stay in Rimini.  

On Saturday 17th of September, the second step, we’ll see a completely new itinerary: from Rimini to Florence,  crossing through Passo La Calla, from Stia, until Passo della Consuma, then the Chianti countryside, Piazza del Campo  in Siena, the break at Borgo Scopeto among the tall and narrow cypresses of the Sienese. In the afternoon the crews  will run across the streets of Arezzo, with the stamp control of Montevarchi, Arezzo and Pieve Santo Stefano, towards  the Viamaggio pass.  

The Republic of San Marino will welcome the event with the last group of timed trials of the day and the stamp check  in Piazza della Libertà, on the top Monte Titano.  
The arrival of the second step will be Rimini, on the walkway of Piazza Tre Martiri. The evening will reserve to the  participants the traditional Gala Dinner in honour of Tazio Nuvolari, in the wonderful Fellinian setting of the Grand  Hotel di Rimini

On Sunday 18th of September the crews will come back to Mantova. The route will reserve them the last challenges,  the crucial ones to decree the winner. Starting from Rimini, they will compete with the dreaded Meldola timed trials, passing from Faenza, guests of the Formula 1 Alpha Tauri team. The Piazza Ariostea arena will be the splendid glance  that Ferrara reserve to the participants coming from all over the world. It is the turn to return to Mantova, crossing  through the Bondeno and Revere stamp checks. The lunch break will be served at the millenary castle of Castel d’Ario,  birth place of Tazio Nuvolari, on the occasion of the 130th anniversary of the birth. Then finally the arrival in Mantova,  after 1.100 km, between the welcoming walls of Piazza Sordello.  

Registration Requirements and Terms 
Registration requests, to be carried out exclusively on the website www.gpnuvolari.it, can be sent from the 1st of  March to the 31st of July 2022. At the Gran Premio Nuvolari all cars manufactured from 1919 to 1976 are admitted,  provided that they are equipped (alternatively) with a F.I.V.A. /F.I.A. Heritage/ ACI Sport / ACI Storico passport, or an  A.S.I. homologation, or a certificate of Registration in the A.A.V.S.
