“We are really happy we won because we have been trying it for years and so we are really excited; we are crowning a very positive season where we obtained a second place at the Mille Miglia. In the automotive regularity sector, the Gran Premio Nuvolari represents the most technical and difficult competition, with no common tests and with the highest number of participants of the world”. – underlined Giovanni Moceri, winner of the 28th edition of the Gran Premio Nuvolari together with Daniele Bonetti.

“The Gran Premio Nuvolari is the race of the year, the most tecnically demanding competition for those who practice this discipline and every time Mantova Corse manages to make it ever more complex and insidious” – adds Daniele Bonetti.

“I have been always fascinated by cars and for me this is the first time in a regularity race. Thanks to BMW Italy I had the chance to relive the passion for cars my father passed down to me: this experience gave me the chance to identify myself with him and to see Italy from another point of view” – added Saturnino Celani, Solero co-driver.

On Piazza Sordello’s forestage paraded also the racing cars of Coppa Nuvolari - Maserati Tribute, an appendix of the Gran Premio, where 10 Maserati cars built from 1973 to 2018 showed up. The 28th edition of the race confirms Gran Premio Nuvolari’s great success, organized by Mantova Corse in partnership with ACI Mantova and Museo Tazio Nuvolari and supported by Automobile Club Italia and ACI Storico, is the result of a great and skilled organization. The contribution of the Main Partner Maserati was crucial as always: the car company was in Mantua with Tazio’s legendary 1934 Maserati 6C 34, which was exposed in Piazza Sordello during the three days of the race. A guarantee in terms of punctuality and presence, the Swiss company Eberhard & Co., the official Timekeeper of the event, who rewarded the winners with two elements of their collections: two chronographs Tazio Nuvolari Data. The contribution of Banca Generali, leader in the field of sparing is also fundamental just like Red Bull, who pays tribute to the great “Nivola”, who allegedly pioneered the modern action sports.

The event in honour of Nuvolari is the second for importance within the “EpocaChampionship”, the Italian “Grandi Eventi” Campionship of ACI Sport, that includes the Coppa d’Oro of the Dolomiti (19th-22nd July 2018), the Targa Florio (04th-07th October 2018) and the Coppa delle Alpi by 1000 Miglia (04th – 09th December 2018).
