Open enrollment at the 25th modern edition of the Gran Premio Nuvolari, from 17 to 20 September 2015

Press Release n ° 1 - Mantova, March 4, 2015 - Open today the inscriptions at the 25th modern edition of the Gran Premio Nuvolari, the Italian rally event reserved to historical cars.  It will take place from 17 to 20 September 2015, an event organized by Mantova Corse, Automobile Club  Mantova and Museo Tazio Nuvolari. The cars will depart as usual from Piazza Sordello in Mantua, and will travel 1000 km through the Italian countryside, from Mantua to Forte dei Marmi; from Forte to Pisa, then Livorno, Siena, Arezzo to Rimini and from Rimini, passing through Ferrara , again in Mantua.

The Gran Premio Nuvolari celebrates the 25th modern edition, 17 to 20 September 2015, awaited by collectors and enthusiasts, for which the historic event is the opportunity to remember the "Great Nivola" in a formula that combines healthy sporting competition, pleasure, adventure and high level tourism.
Organized every year by Mantova Corse, in collaboration with the Automobile Club Mantova and Museo Tazio Nuvolari, the Gran Premio will be open to 250 historic cars, 500 gentlemen drivers who will compete in a rally race: a meeting between the world's major . Prestigious partners and loyal - Audi, Eberhard & Co., Banca Generali and Ufi Filters - have pledged support to the event.

On Friday 18, at the end of scrutineering, the cars will leave from Piazza Sordello in the center of Mantova, in front of the Gonzaga’s Palazzo Ducale: a setting of extraordinary suggestion as to offer a complete overview on the participant cars.
Walking the roads of the Po Valley, the drivers will compete on the track of the new Circuit of San Martino del Lago, then the cars will route the hills of Parma until Passo della Cisa, then begin the descent towards the Tyrrhenian coast, passing Carrara, Massa and arriving in Forte dei Marmi, with an evening planned at the prestigious Beach Club Versilia.

Saturday 19, second stage and more challenging than the previous day: the car chase through the roads of Tuscany, Umbria, Marche and Emilia Romagna, in a competition between passionate Apennine passes and ability tests. In Livorno it will evoke the Circuito del Montenero that saw in the 30's the great Tazio Nuvolari’s triumph over again. Suggestive the passage to the historical towns of Pisa, Siena, Arezzo and Urbino, where classic cars will drive among winding streets and large Renaissance squares. At sunset, after the finish line in Rimini, the drivers will be expected at the park of the Grand Hotel of Federico Fellini's memory, a few steps from the sea, for the evening glamour between celebrities and sponsors.

Rimini left on Sunday morning, the drivers will drive into the hills of Romagna and then in Ferrara, on the circuit of the Estense Castle, in the heart of the city. Crews will again test their skills: the Gran Premio Nuvolari is renowned in the international scene as a high technical event, designed to test the maximum pilots and historic cars. The return to Mantua, with the traditional passage over the San Giorgio bridge and cutting the finish line still in Piazza Sordello, close the event: arrival, pilots and navigators will be expected at the Palazzo Ducale for lunch greeting. In the afternoon, at the Teatro Bibiena, seventeenth-century gem hidden in the city streets, the ceremony announcing the winners.
Three days of excitement and sport for an event that - at the finish of the 25 editions - will remain an high level international event in the world of classic cars, but also a fun opportunity to discover hidden corners and unusual perspectives offered by the wonderful Italian landscape.

Will be allowed only cars produced from 1919 to 1969, provided with F.I.V.A. passport, or fiche F.I.A. Heritage, or A.S.I. approval, or fiche C.S.A.I., or belonging to a Registry Brand.
