Final month to register for the international regularity event dedicated to the legendary Tazio Nuvolari
Milan, 1 July 2026 – The countdown has begun for the closing of registrations for the Gran Premio Nuvolari, the prestigious international regularity event for historic cars scheduled from 17 to 20 September. For thirty-six editions, the event has paid tribute to the great Tazio Nuvolari, the driver from Mantua who left an indelible mark on the history of world motorsport.

Anticipation is building for one of the most elegant and iconic events in the historic motorsport calendar, now a benchmark for collectors, gentleman drivers, and classic car enthusiasts from all over the world. A total of 300 crews will be ready to experience four days dedicated to passion, sporting competition, automotive culture, and the discovery of the territory—values that have always defined the Gran Premio Nuvolari.

The 2026 edition introduces significant innovations, starting with a completely renewed route: over 1,100 kilometres of timed trials and average-speed tests, crossing some of the most fascinating landscapes of Lombardy, Emilia-Romagna, Tuscany, Umbria, Marche, and the Republic of San Marino.

Adding even greater spectacle to the route will be three prestigious Formula 1 circuits – Mugello, Imola, and Magione – together with three evocative city circuits set up in the historic centres of Carpi, Forlì, and Lugo di Romagna.

The competitors will take part in a challenge marked by timed and average-speed trials along some of Italy’s most scenic roads, creating an exclusive and elegant event for drivers and enthusiasts alike, in honour of the myth that made motorsport history worldwide: Tazio Nuvolari.

The Gran Premio Nuvolari was born in 1954 from an idea by the organizers of the Mille Miglia. To honour the passing of Tazio Nuvolari, which occurred on 11 August 1953, the route of the Brescia race was modified to pass through Mantua. From that moment, the event was established in his honour, intended for the fastest driver and therefore contested on the long straights crossing the Po Valley, starting from Cremona and passing through Mantua, up to the finish line in Brescia.

The 36th modern reenactment, conceived and organized since 1991 by Mantova Corse, will take place in compliance with F.I.A., F.I.V.A., and A.C.I. Sport regulations. The participation of long-standing partners Red Bull, Gruppo Finservice, and Morbio Costruzioni has been confirmed: thanks to their support, the Gran Premio Nuvolari will offer participants an adrenaline-filled and memorable experience, combining the pleasure of driving through outstanding locations with top-level sporting competition.

The 36th Gran Premio Nuvolari will also enjoy the patronage of the Region of Lombardy, the Cities of Mantua, Rimini, Arezzo, Forlì, and Ferrara, the Ministries of Tourism and Sport of the Republic of San Marino, and the Foundation of the Cassa di Risparmio di Carpi.

Gran Premio Nuvolari Green
The organization of the Gran Premio Nuvolari has always been attentive to environmental sustainability, undertaking for years a path aimed at protecting people and the territory. The first initiative, “Gran Premio Nuvolari Green,” was launched in 2020 and involved the planting of trees to offset the CO2 emissions produced by historic car circulation. Further initiatives are also planned to reduce the use of plastic bottles: each crew, all organizational staff, and media representatives will be provided with eco-friendly Tritan water bottles. During the stage starts in Mantua and Rimini, drinking water dispensers will be installed for all participants
