Entries for the International Regularity Race dedicated to the legendary Tazio Nuvolari will close on July 31, marking the official deadline for registration.
07/27/2026
Milan, 27 July 2026
– With just a few days remaining before registration officially closes, preparations are reaching their peak for the
36th Gran Premio Nuvolari, the iconic international regularity rally for historic
cars, scheduled to take place from
17 to 20 September 2026
. This prestigious event pays tribute each year to the legendary Tazio Nuvolari, the Mantua-born racing driver who left an indelible mark on the history of world motorsport.
Anticipation is building for
one of the most elegant and iconic events on the historic motoring calendar, now firmly established as a must-attend occasion for collectors, gentleman drivers, and classic car enthusiasts
from around the globe. A total of
300 crews
will take part in four unforgettable days celebrating passion, sporting competition, automotive heritage, and the discovery of Italy's finest landscapes—values that have always defined the Gran Premio Nuvolari.
The
2026 edition
introduces several
important innovations,
beginning with
a completely redesigned route
: more than
1,100 kilometres
featuring both timed tests and average-speed trials,
winding through some of the most captivating scenery in Lombardy, Emilia-Romagna, Tuscany, Marche, Umbria, and the Republic of San Marino
.
Adding to the excitement will be
three prestigious international racing circuits—Mugello, Imola, and Magione
—alongside three atmospheric city circuits set within the historic centres of Carpi, Forlì, and Lugo di Romagna.
Competitors will face a demanding challenge
of timed and average-speed tests
along some of Italy's most scenic roads, creating an exclusive and elegant event for drivers and enthusiasts alike, in honour of the motorsport legend Tazio Nuvolari.
The origins of the Gran Premio Nuvolari date back to 1954
, when the organisers of the Mille Miglia established a race dedicated to the great Mantuan champion, who had passed away on
11 August 1953
. As a tribute,
the Mille Miglia route was modified to include a passage through Mantua
, creating a special competition for the fastest driver along the long straights of the Po Valley, from Cremona to Brescia.
The 36th modern revival, created and organised since 1991 by
Mantova Corse
, will once again be held in accordance with the regulations of the FIA, FIVA, and ACI Sport. The continued support of long-standing partners
Red Bull, Gruppo Finservice, Morbio Costruzioni, Mosso Time Keeper
, and
Cognizant
has also been confirmed. Thanks to their backing, the Gran Premio Nuvolari will offer participants
an adrenaline-filled and unforgettable experience
, combining the pleasure of driving through spectacular locations with top-level sporting competition.
Among its prestigious institutional supporters, the
36th Gran Premio Nuvolari
enjoys the patronage of the
Region of Lombardy
, the cities of
Mantova, Rimini, Arezzo, Forlì
, and
Ferrara
, the
Ministries of Tourism and Sport of the Republic of San Marino
, and the
Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Carpi
.

Gran Premio Nuvolari Green
The Gran Premio Nuvolari organization have long demonstrated a strong commitment to environmental sustainability, pursuing initiatives aimed at protecting both people and the local environment. The first Gran Premio Nuvolari Green project was launched in
2020
, introducing a tree-planting programme to offset the CO₂ emissions generated by the historic cars participating in the event. To further reduce environmental impact, the organisers will continue efforts to minimise the use of single-use plastic bottles. Every crew member, staff member, and accredited journalist will receive an eco-friendly Tritan reusable water bottle, while drinking water refill stations will be available at the stage starts in Mantova and Rimini for all participants.
