Gianni Del Bue was born in Reggio Emilia on December 27, 1942. He learns painting techniques from his father, master of trompe l'oeil. He begins to paint for pleasure, attracted especially by the paintings of Filippo De Pisis and Giorgio De Chirico amongst modern and Paolo Uccello and Piero della Francesca amongst the ancients. The artist, who grew up in the myth of Tazio Nuvolari, lives and works in Farigliano (Langhe).
