Locman official timekeeper of the 34th edition of the Gran Premio Nuvolari

LOCMAN, the renowned watchmaking brand from the Island of Elba, will be the Official Timekeeper of the thirty-fourth edition of the Gran Premio Nuvolari. From September 19th to 22nd, 2024, this historic event will see the participation of the Tuscan watchmaking house, thereby strengthening the bond between Locman and the world of motorsports in one of the most prestigious vintage car races in the world.

The event, which attracts enthusiasts and vintage cars from every continent, celebrates the legend of speed, Tazio Nuvolari. Since 1991, the Gran Premio Nuvolari has brought together masterpieces of history, design, and mechanics in a race that passes through some of Italy’s most iconic and picturesque landscapes, highlighting the values of Italian heritage and joie de vivre, key elements of Locman’s DNA.

The 1,100 km route will cross the most beautiful regions of northern and central Italy and the Republic of San Marino, offering an exclusive event for drivers and enthusiasts, honoring the memory of Tazio Nuvolari.

The 2024 Gran Premio Nuvolari route celebrates Italian excellence and brings together three hundred teams from all over the world. It will start on Friday, September 20 from Mantua, crossing Monte Baldo and Lake Garda to Riva del Garda, with a checkpoint in Verona and an evening arrival in Modena for an exclusive event at Villa Cavazza. On Saturday, September 21, the route will continue from Modena through Tuscany, Romagna, and Marche, with stops in Pistoia, Siena, and Arezzo, crossing San Marino and concluding in Rimini with the historic Gala Dinner at the Grand Hotel of Rimini. On Sunday, September 22, the event will return to the city of Mantua with trials in Meldola, a visit to the Racing Bulls Team in Faenza, lunch in Ferrara, and a final arrival in Piazza Sordello.
The event has been promoting environmental sustainability for years, and for this edition, it will distribute metal water bottles and install drinking water dispensers to reduce plastic use.

The members of the first-place crew will be awarded a watch from the prestigious Aethalia Titanio collection, a symbol of excellence and innovation, inspired by the legendary island of the Tuscan archipelago and characterized by its manual-winding mechanical movement OISA Caliber 29-50 Ponti, a 100% Italian mechanism.
