The crew Andrea Vesco and Andrea Guerini wins the 28th Gran Premio Nuvolari

Mantova, 21st September 2014 - On Sunday afternoon, the Teatro Bibiena of Mantova welcomed Andrea Vesco and Andrea Guerini winners of the 28th edition of Gran Premio Nuvolari on Fiat 508 S Balilla Sport (1934) followed by Giovanni Moceri and Daniele Bonetti (Fiat 1100/103 y.1954) at the second place and the crew of Giuliano Cané and Lucia Galliani on Lancia Aprilia (1938) at the third place.
Even for this year Mantova Corse collects a great success: the 85 regularity tests have been numerous and challenging; the singular route, going throughout the most suggestive roads of the Central Italy, has stimulated the sporting soul of the participants.

In fact, this year, Audi Italia, main partner of the event, presented the new TT Coupé Nuvolari Limited Edition preview, just 100 cars made, an extraordinary tribute to the 17-year relationship between the German company and the famous event of classic cars; Eberhard & Co. hosted on Thursday 18 night at the Gioielleria Piccinini in the heart of Mantova, an elegant event to celebrate the launch of the new born timepiece, the Tazio Nuvolari Solo Tempo.

The crowd of fans and onlookers followed the race with a participation that testifies the interest in the world of classic cars. Important is the contribution of institutions including, first of all, the Mayor of Mantova Nicola Sodano, for giving the availability of the city and its beautiful squares.

Vesco-Guerini, absolute winners of the 28th edition, have been awarded by Federico Ferraro, Service Responsible of Audi Italia, with a beautiful cup offered by the main partner, 2 chronographs by Eberhard & Co. from the Tazio Nuvolari collection and a scale model of an Auto Union Type D driven by Nuvolari to win the Gran Premio d'Italia (1938). As usual Luca Bergamaschi, Marco Marani and Claudio Rossi, the three organizers, presented the ceremony of awarding prizes, inside the eighteenth-century Teatro Bibiena of Mantova.

The Italian “Loro Piana Classic” and the foreign “Gli Svizzeri” have been awarded as the best car racing teams for the 2014 edition. Federica Bignetti and Luisa Ciatti, riding the car number 213, an Alfa Romeo Giulietta spider (1960), has been awarded with the prestigious Coppa delle Dame.

Several striking moments characterized the Gran Premio Nuvolari 2014. The passage through the Aeroclub Modena and in Imola at the Autodromo "Enzo e Dino Ferrari", where the crews had the chance to test their skills. Suggestive and unforgettable the stages in the most famous villages of Marche, Umbria, Tuscany and Emilia Romagna. Urbino, Città di Castello, Siena and Arezzo are just few of the cities, in addiction to Rimini and Ravenna, that welcomed the passage of the enthusiastic crew of Nuvolari.
