Paris, 6th of February 2018 - The Gran Premio Nuvolari lands in Paris and attends the exhibition “Retromobile Paris”, Porte de Versailles (Pav. 1 - Stand 1k130) to present to the public and to the international press the 28th modern edition of the Gran Premio Nuvolari, regularity race for classic cars organized according to the F.I.A., F.I.V.A. and A.C.I. Sport regulations. The event (this year scheduled from the 13th to the 16th of September) is organized by the racing team Scuderia Mantova Corse, and its formula allows the participants coming from all over the world to live the unique experience of the manifestation dedicated to the great Italian pilot Tazio Nuvolari, the sportsman that more than anyone else has marked the history of the XX century.

For the first time, Mantova Corse, together with its official partners Banca Generali, Eberhard & Co. and Red Bull, presents to the chic Parisian public the Gran Premio Nuvolari, one of the “must” appointments of the classic cars international regularity season. France represents since always a key Country for the race: starting from the historic Bugatti, in the last editions of the Gran Premio, all the most important French car brands were represented, to testify the incidence of the French classic cars enthusiasts.

During four days, from Thursday 13th until Sunday 16th of September 2018, more than 250 classic cars coming from all over the world will be driving along a 1050 km route, developed to test the ability of the crews and cars competing for the victory of the Gran Premio.
The path will cross some of the most beautiful scenic streets and locations of Northern/Central Italy, starting from Mantova, in Lombardy, and then passing through the regions of Emilia Romagna, Marche, Toscana and Umbria, seeing famous cities like Modena, Siena, Arezzo, Rimini, and Ferrara.

Not only regularity - The Gran Premio Nuvolari pays homage to the vocation for driving but also for high-level tourism, with routes and sights of incomparable beauty. Thousands of classic cars enthusiasts will gather in the most iconic Italian squares and warm with their greetings the participants to the race.

The Gran Premio Nuvolari is an Italian event that not only celebrates the myth of Tazio Nuvolari, “The Flying Mantuan”, but also represents the international cultural showcase for the re-enactment of masterpieces created by the human genius: works of art on wheels, wonderful cars that thanks to their silhouette and conformation have entered the collective imagery.

Once again, Mantova will be the core of an unmissable event that will synergistically bring together the world of engines, culture and excellence of the territory.

Therefore, for all the classic cars enthusiasts who don’t want to miss the start of the 28th edition of the Gran Premio Nuvolari, the meeting point is in Piazza Sordello, Mantova, on Friday 14th of September at 11:00 a.m.

Requirements and dead-lines for applications

The registrations for the Gran Premio Nuvolari will officially open on the 1st of March 2018, exclusively on the website www.gpnuvolari.it. The event admits cars built between 1919 and 1972 that have a F.I.V.A. passport, or a F.I.A. Heritage fiche, or a A.S.I. Homologation, or a A.C.I. Sport /C.S.A.I. fiche or that belong to a Brand Register.
