Milan, July 30th 2025 - Just 1 day left before the registration deadline for the Gran Premio Nuvolari, the international regularity rally for historic cars, now in its 35th edition, scheduled from September 18 to 21 and starting from Mantua, the hometown of the legendary Tazio Nuvolari.

Engines are revving up for one of the most anticipated events of the year — a must for lovers of classic cars and vintage motorsport. The Gran Premio will offer classic car enthusiasts a unique and thrilling experience, celebrating the myth of the Mantuan driver, an icon of motor racing history. Around 300 teams from all over the world will take part in this four-day event, a fusion of historical celebration, competitive sportsmanship, and lifestyle tourism — all key elements that define this prestigious event.

This year’s renewed route, totaling 1,075 km, will allow competitors and their gleaming cars to drive through the most fascinating landscapes of Lombardy, Emilia Romagna, Tuscany, Marche, Umbria, and the Republic of San Marino.

During the Gran Premio Nuvolari, these magnificent historic vehicles, symbols of 20th-century industrial heritage, will pay tribute to the “Flying Mantuan”, proudly displaying legendary masterpieces of global automotive engineering.

Mantova Corse has carefully selected exclusive hotels and accommodations for each stage, ensuring that teams enjoy an unforgettable experience throughout the event.

The rally will be held in compliance with F.I.A., F.I.V.A., and A.C.I. Sport regulations, with particular attention paid to the safety protocols established by the national sports federation.

Once again, the event is supported by prestigious companies such as Red Bull, Finservice Group, Morbio Costruzioni, Penske Cars, Locman, Zero Time, and MC Stone with its supplement Cognizant. Thanks to these partners, the Gran Premio Nuvolari will provide participants with a truly unique experience, blending the joy of scenic driving with the adrenaline of top-level motorsport competition.

The 2025 route

On Friday, September 19th, the Gran Premio Nuvolari will depart from Piazza Sordello in Mantua and cross the Po Valley, with stamp controls at the Iveco plant in Suzzara, and in the town squares of Reggiolo and Campagnola Emilia, before reaching the Modena Autodrome. The route will then head toward the city circuit in Forlì, ending the day in Cesenatico, where the first dinner will be held at the Grand Hotel da Vinci. The overnight stay will be in Rimini.

On Saturday, September 20th, the teams will leave Rimini and head toward Tuscany, Umbria, and Marche, passing through Siena, the Chianti region, and Ponte a Buriano. The day will conclude with the time trials in the Republic of San Marino and the return to Rimini, where the iconic Grand Hotel will host the Gala Dinner in honor of Tazio Nuvolari.

On Sunday, September 21st, the final stage will take the drivers north. After the time trials in Meldola and a stop in Faenza, hosted by the Formula 1 Racing Team “Racing Bulls”, the route will pass through Ferrara, featuring the “Power Stage” broadcast live on TV. The grand finale includes lunch in San Benedetto Po, followed by a triumphant arrival in Piazza Sordello in Mantua.

Gran Premio Nuvolari Green
Since 2020, the Gran Premio Nuvolari has launched the “Gran Premio Nuvolari Green” initiative to promote environmental sustainability. Key actions include tree planting to offset CO₂ emissions from the historic vehicles, and the reduction of plastic waste through the distribution of eco-friendly tritan water bottles to participants, staff, and media. Additionally, drinking water dispensers will be available at the departure points in Mantua and Rimini.

Entry requirements and deadlines

The Gran Premio Nuvolari is open to vehicles manufactured from 1919 to 1981, equipped with a F.I.V.A. passport, F.I.A. Heritage fiche, A.S.I. homologation, ACI Sport / ACI Storico fiche, or a registration certificate from the A.A.V.S. historical register.

A special appendix called “Coppa Nuvolari GT 2025” will also be held, open to a maximum of 35 Gran Turismo cars built between 2001 and 2025, divided into three categories: “M1” (2000–2010), “M2” (2011–2020), “M3” (2021–2025). Eligible vehicles must be regularly registered and inspected, equipped exclusively with street-legal tires. Racing-prepared vehicles are not allowed. No age-based coefficient will be applied in the ranking. Participants will be assigned competition numbers starting from No. 401, based on the age of the vehicle. Special category and overall rankings will be published, leading to the awarding of Category Prizes and the “Coppa Nuvolari GT 2025”.
