MANTOVA, 2nd March 2020 – the Gran Premio Nuvolari has reached its 30th edition. The famous international regularity event for historic cars is organized in three stages (this year will see the return to the classic and most appreciated track: Mantova-Rimini-Siena-Rimini-Mantova) and it is scheduled for September 2020, from 18th to 20th.
The formula of the event, organized since the beginning in 1991 by the Scuderia Mantova Corse according to F.I.A., F.I.V.A. and A.C.I. Sport regulations, will give participants the opportunity to experience the great event dedicated to the "Flying Mantuan", a combination of high-level tourism and regularity competition: “C.O.” (Time Checks), “P.C.” (Timed Trials), “P.M.” (Media Tests) and “C.T.” (Stamp Checks ), placed in emblematic places of particular historical value, will mark the timing of the September Classic race.
Red Bull will be the Official Partner of the event, present also with the colors of the new Alpha Tauri F1 racing Team. Finservice has confirmed its support to the cult rally as Technical Partner.

The route 2020

The route of the Gran Premio Nuvolari enhances every year the Italian beauties, including ancient villages, city centres, slopes and mountains in an extraordinary promotion of the “Bel Paese”.
On Friday 18th September, the parade of 300 historic cars will start from Piazza Sordello in Mantua and will cross the suggestive roads of Emilia Romagna, to stop at the Autodrome in Modena for the timed trials and for lunch break. Then it will continue the descent towards the Adriatic: the first evening will take place in Cesenatico in the prestigious location of the Grand Hotel Leonardo da Vinci. Night hospitality on the Riviera.
Saturday 19th of September, the second stage, will be the most intense day of the Gran Premio Nuvolari: after the departure from Rimini, competitors will drive along the Adriatic Road, passing through the Viamaggio Pass. Then, they will follow through the Florentine countryside and the Chianti hills, finally arriving in Siena for the usual embrace with the public in Piazza del Campo, one of the most representative squares of the Peninsula. After the break under the cypresses of Borgo Scopeto, the caravan will continue to Piazza Grande, in the heart of Arezzo. In the late afternoon, the crews will drive along the panoramic streets of Marche, touching Urbino and reaching Rimini, where they will conclude the second stage on the always-crowded “catwalk” of Piazza Tre Martiri. The Gala Dinner in honor of Tazio Nuvolari will be held as usual in the unique Fellinesque setting of the Grand Hotel of Rimini.
On Sunday 20th September in the morning, the crews will head back to Mantua, but first they will face the last challenges, perhaps the most crucial ones to determine the winner. Starting from Rimini, they will face the special timed tests of Meldola, and later they will pass through Faenza, as guests of the Alpha Tauri Racing Team, and through Ferrara, where hundreds of car enthusiasts will gather to welcome the caravan of international beauties in Piazza Ariostea. After 1000 km, the return to Mantua, through Borgofranco and Ostiglia, will take place in time for the farewell lunch, organized within the walls of Palazzo Ducale.
On its thirtieth anniversary more than ever, the Gran Premio Nuvolari promises to be an unmissable parade of precious masterpieces on four wheels that will arouse the excitement of the passionate fans stationed along the way. A unique opportunity to celebrate the great Tazio Nuvolari, the sportsman who more than any one else has marked the history of the twentieth century.

Requirements and terms of registration

The entry requests must be submitted exclusively through the website www.gpnuvolari.it. The registration period will remain open until July 31st.The Gran Premio Nuvolari accepts cars manufactured from 1919 to 1976 equipped with FIVA passport, or fiche FIA Heritage, ASI or approval, or fiche ACI Sport / ACI Storico, or belonging to a Brand Historical Register.
