MANTOVA, 2nd April 2020 – The continuation of the COVID-19 emergency with the national and local provisions adopted to fight the spread of the virus forced the Mantova Corse team to temporarily slow down the organizational activity of the 30th edition of the Gran Premio Nuvolari. Nonetheless, the data of the event remain confirmed for the days 17-20 September 2020. In fact, we hope that for that time, the spirit and the economic panorama of our country will have already started that slow but progressive recovery process, essential both for the moral and economic health of all of us. 
 
The Gran Premio Nuvolari 2020 will be an emblematic edition in all respects. Not only because it will cut the finish line of its thirtieth edition, but because it will also constitute undoubtedly the zero edition of an event of extraordinary success, revised today with new eyes. Beyond the recognized competitive value, we will appreciate more than anything else the possibility that the GP Nuvolari 2020 will give us to travel together again, to enjoy the beauties of the wonderful Italian territory and the affective warmth that only a multitude of fans of the "truer" motoring can give. 
 
Let’s sketch briefly the outline of the program 2020. The international event of regularity for historic cars will develop in three stages, along the most classical and appreciated route: Mantova - Rimini - Siena - Rimini  - Mantova. 
 
On Friday 18th September, the parade of 300 historic cars will start from Piazza Sordello in Mantua and will cross the suggestive roads of Emilia Romagna, to stop at the Autodrome in Modena for the timed trials and for the  lunch break. Then it will continue the descent towards the Adriatic: the first evening will take place in Cesenatico in the prestigious location of the Grand Hotel Leonardo da Vinci. Night hospitality on the Riviera. 
 
Saturday 19th of September, the second stage, will be the most intense day of the Gran Premio Nuvolari: after the departure from Rimini, competitors will drive along the Adriatic Road, passing through the Viamaggio Pass. Then, they will follow through the Florentine countryside and the Chianti hills, finally arriving in Siena for the usual embrace with the public in Piazza del Campo, one of the most celebrated  squares of the Peninsula. After the break under the cypresses of Borgo Scopeto, the caravan will continue to Piazza Grande, in the heart of Arezzo. In the late afternoon, the crews will drive along the panoramic streets of Marche, touching Urbino and reaching Rimini, where they will conclude the second stage on the always-crowded “catwalk” of Piazza Tre Martiri. The Gala Dinner in honor of Tazio Nuvolari will be held as usual in the unique Fellinesque setting of the Grand Hotel of Rimini. 
 
On Sunday 20th September in the morning, the crews will head back to Mantua. Starting from Rimini, they will face the special timed tests of Meldola, and later they will pass through Faenza, as guests of the Alpha Tauri Racing Team, and through Ferrara, to meet the many car enthusiasts gathered in Piazza Ariostea. After 1000 km, the return to Mantua, through Borgofranco and Ostiglia, will take place in time for the farewell lunch, organized within the walls of Palazzo Ducale. The Prize Giving Ceremony at Teatro Bibiena will close the event. 

Requirements and terms of registration 
 
The entry requests must be submitted exclusively through the website www.gpnuvolari.it. The registration period will remain open until July 31st. The Gran Premio Nuvolari accepts cars manufactured from 1919 to 1976 equipped with FIVA passport, or fiche FIA Heritage, ASI or approval, or fiche ACI Sport / ACI Storico, or belonging to a Brand Historical Register. In the unfortunate case that the event should be cancelled, the registration fees will be refunded to the participants.
