Gran Premio Nuvolari - Premio Mantova 2023 partecipate at Techno Classica Essen, halle 5 – stand 501
04/12/2023
Mantova, 11th of April 2023 -
Scuderia Mantova Corse
will be the protagonist with its own
stand (Halle 5 - Stand 501)
at Techno Classica Essen
, the most important world showcase for collector cars, to present to the international press the
33rd edition of the Gran Premio Nuvolari
, the most known to the world reserved for historic cars, scheduled
from 14 to 17 September 2023
.
Along
the renewed route
, the competitors will compete in timed trials, average tests, roads and breath taking landscapes, supported by the enthusiasm of thousands of fans and enthusiasts through some of the most fascinating and historic squares in Italy.
The
300 crews from all over the world
will face a
1.100 km route
this year, divided into
three stages
, through the most beautiful landscapes of Northern and Central Italy, passing through Lombardy, Emilia Romagna, Marche, Umbria and Tuscany.
The event, conceived and organized by
Mantova Corse
since 1991, will take place in compliance with the F.I.A, F.I.V.A. and A.C.I. Sport, with particular attention to the safety protocols required by national and international sports federations.
The Gran Premio Nuvolari is not only a
celebration of the myth of the "Mantovano Volante"
, but also a historical re enactment and cultural showcase of engineering masterpieces: marvels on four wheels which, thanks to their unique silhouettes and ingenious mechanics, have entered the collective imagination national and international.
The consolidated event, which boasts already consolidated partnerships such as
Red Bull
,
Finservice Group
and
Banca Generali
, sees the entry of the auction house
Wannenes
(official partner),
Penske Cars
(automotive partner) and
Locman
(official timekeeper). Considered one of the most awaited events of the season, the Gran Premio Nuvolari will offer its competitors an exciting and unique experience, with the intention of combining the pleasure of discovering exclusive, fascinating and evocative places with a high-level sporting competition.
For the fourth consecutive year, the
GPN Green
will be organized: an initiative with a high rate of greening. The environmental impact caused by the circulation of the cars participating in the event will be compensated by the planting, in selected areas, of such a number of tall trees as to balance the total CO2 emission.
Appointment therefore for all enthusiasts in Piazza Sordello in Mantova at 11:00 on Friday 15th of September, for the start of the Gran Premio Nuvolari 2023.
The 2023 route
The route of the Gran Premio Nuvolari represents the synthesis of many Italian excellences. In the wake of the success of the last edition, this year too, after the pre-race checks on
Thursday 14 September,
a night prologue will take place through a city route of about 10 km that will wind through the streets of Mantova. It will be the City's greeting reserved for participants from all over the world.
On
Friday 15th of September
the 300 cars will leave, as per tradition, from the historic Piazza Sordello, the heart of the Lombard city. They will cross the roads of the Po Valley, up to the
Modena racetrack
, then the lunch break at the ancient Acetaia Leonardi. We will then continue on the Emilia-Romagna hills towards the Adriatic Sea with the arrival in Cesenatico. The first evening will be held in the suggestive location of the Grand Hotel da Vinci. An overnight stay in Rimini will follow.
Saturday 16th of September
, the second stage, will see a new route: from Rimini towards the Marche, Umbria and Tuscany, with transit through the historic centres of Città di Castello, Arezzo and Siena. In the afternoon the crews will travel the roads of Chianti, then the trials of Pieve Santo Stefano, towards the Viamaggio pass. The Republic of San Marino will welcome the event with the last group of timed trials of the day and the stamp control in Piazza della Libertà, at the top of Monte Titano. The arrival of the second stage will be in Rimini, on the walkway of Piazza Tre Martiri. The day will end with the traditional Gala Dinner in honour of Tazio Nuvolari, in the marvellous Fellinian setting of the Grand Hotel in Rimini.
Sunday 17th September
the crews will return to Mantova. The route will reserve them the last challenges, decisive for decreeing the final winner. Starting from Rimini, they will compete with the dreaded time trials of Meldola, then passing through Faenza, guests of the
Formula 1 team Alpha Tauri
and on the track in Imola, inside the celebrated Formula 1
racetrack Enzo and Dino Ferrari
. The arena in Piazza Ariostea will be the wonderful glance that Ferrara will reserve for the competitors. It will then be the turn to return to Mantua, through the stamp controls at Bondeno, Poggio Rusco and Revere. Finally, the arrival in Mantova, after 1,100 km, within the walls of Piazza Sordello.
