C.S. 2 - The 35th Gran Premio Nuvolari participates at Techno Classica Essen

Milan, April 2 2025 - From April 9 to 13, Scuderia Mantova Corse will participate with its own booth at Techno Classica Essen (Hall 5 - Stand 501), the world’s leading event for collectible cars. This will be an opportunity to present the 35th edition of the Gran Premio Nuvolari to drivers, journalists, and enthusiasts. The international regularity event for historic cars and modern GTs will take place from September 18 to 21, 2025.

300 crews from all over the world will meet in Mantua, the birthplace of Tazio Nuvolari, and compete in timed trials and average speed tests along a 1,100 km route through the most charming landscapes and views of Lombardy, Emilia Romagna, Tuscany, Umbria, Marche, and the Republic of San Marino.

This glamorous and exclusive event, a historical and cultural revival of iconic engineering masterpieces on four wheels that made history, attracts the best of world classic motorsport every year, bringing together gentleman drivers and enthusiasts from all five continents for a unique and thrilling experience.

The event, conceived and organized by Mantova Corse since 1991, will be held in compliance with F.I.A., F.I.V.A., and A.C.I. Sport regulations, with particular attention to the national sports federation’s safety protocols.

Thanks to partners such as Red Bull, Gruppo Finservice, Penske Cars, Cognizant, and Morbio Costruzioni, the Gran Premio Nuvolari will offer participants an adrenaline-pumping experience, aiming to combine the pleasure and passion of driving through uniquely beautiful places with high-level competitive sports.

The 2025 route

On Friday, September 19, as tradition dictates, the 300 crews will start from the historic Piazza Sordello, the heart of Mantua. They will travel through the plains of the Po Valley, arriving at the Modena racetrack. The journey will then continue through the hills of Emilia-Romagna towards the Adriatic Sea, with the Forlì city circuit and arrival in Cesenatico, where the first evening will take place at the Grand Hotel da Vinci. The night will be spent in Rimini.

On Saturday, September 20, the second stage will take the route from Rimini towards Tuscany, Umbria, and Marche. The crews will pass through Sant’Angelo in Vado, Sansepolcro, Monte San Savino, Piazza del Campo in Siena, and have a break at Borgo Scopeto, surrounded by the "tall and pure" cypress trees of the Sienese hills. In the afternoon, the crews will drive through the Chianti roads, passing over the Buriano Bridge, immortalized by Leonardo da Vinci in his most famous masterpiece, the “Mona Lisa,” followed by trials in Pieve Santo Stefano and the Viamaggio pass. The Republic of San Marino will host the final timed trials of the day, with a stamp control in Piazza della Libertà at the peak of Mount Titano. The second stage will conclude in Rimini, with a passage through Piazza Tre Martiri and finally a stop at Parco Fellini for the night. In the evening, the traditional Gala Dinner in honor of Tazio Nuvolari will take place in the wonderful Fellini-style setting of the Grand Hotel Rimini.

On Sunday, September 21, the crews will head north. The route will offer them the final challenges, crucial to determine the overall winner. Starting from Rimini, they will face the feared timed trials of Meldola, followed by a visit to Faenza, hosted by the Formula 1 team “Racing Bulls.” The Estense Castle will be the location for the time check in Ferrara, and shortly after, the "Power Stage," the live televised show trial, will take place in the oval of Piazza Ariostea. It will then be time for the return to Mantua, passing through the stamp controls in Poggio Rusco, San Giacomo delle Segnate, and Bondanello. Lunch at the Polirone Abbey in San Benedetto Po will be the final act before the triumphant return to Mantua, with the finish line in the welcoming Piazza Sordello.

Registration requirements and deadlines
Registration requests, to be completed on the website www.gpnuvolari.it, can be sent until July 31, 2025. The Gran Premio Nuvolari accepts historic vehicles manufactured between 1919 and 1981, as well as 35 modern GT supercars built between 2001 and 2025.
