Mantua, 17^th July 2017 - Registrations to the 27^th modern edition of Gran Premio Nuvolari come from all over the world. From September 15^th to 17^th the international classic car world will meet in Mantua, the starting and arrival point of Gran Premio Nuvolari. Timeless charm cars will join to celebrate the legend of Tazio Nuvolari, the sportsman who marked the 20^th century history more than anyone else.
Mantova Corse organises the rally together with Automobile Club Mantova and Museo Tazio Nuvolari meeting the F.I.A., F.I.V.A. and A.C.I. Sport regulations and is addressed to classic cars built between 1919 and 1972.
The deadline for registrations is July 31^st. You can register on the website www.gpnuvolari.it.

Italy’s most technical competition starts its engines and gets ready to announce important news. First of all, the new route: the teams will set off for the first stage on September 15^th at the stroke of 11.00 am from the historical square Piazza Sordello. They will drive across the Po Valley and the Apennines to reach the Adriatic Riviera. The second stage will start from Rimini on September 16^th and will continue through the rolling hills of Marche, Tuscany and Umbria and then return to Rimini. On September 17^th, the final spurt will start from the same city to begin the third stage through the cities of Emilia Romagna. The route will end in the hometown of Tazio Nuvolari, Mantua: the winners will then parade on stage in Piazza Sordello. The 1030 km long route will also include the Autodromo di Modena and the Autodromo di Misano Adriatico this year, without counting the wonderful villages and places touched by such a journey binding together history, fascination, tradition and elegance.

Another important news concerns partnerships. A new partner joins the team of Gran Premio Nuvolari as “Special Partner”: Red Bull, that has always been the symbol of action sports, opens up to classic cars this year to celebrate and support Tazio Nuvolari and 1930s hero motorsports, the real extreme sport of the turn of the century. Red Bull joins the historical sponsors of Gran Premio Nuvolari: Audi – “Main Partner & Official Car” for the last 20 years, Eberhard & Co., “Official Partner and Time Keeper” for the last 27 years and Banca Generali, “Offical Partner & Private Bank”.

The bond between the “Four Rings” and Gran Premio Nuvolari has deep roots: the legendary Tazio Nuvolari won at Donington Park, at the Italian and Yugoslavian Grand Prix on a D-Type 12V produced by Audi Union, the historical name of Audi. Since then, the car company has never stopped pursuing more and more ambitious aims and has achieved extraordinary performances facing challenges with great courage and dedication. Audi shares the same qualities with the “Flying Mantuan”.

The history of Eberhard & Co. has counted 130 strikes. The Swiss watchmaking industry has been partner of Gran Premio Nuvolari for 27 years. More than a century of timeless personality and innovative models able to come into the wealth of a renowned history. Eberhard & Co. has been keeping the time for Gran Premio Nuvolari since the very first edition in 1991, the year of the introduction of the “Tazio Nuvolari” Collection to celebrate the greatest driver ever.

Red Bull needs no introductions: the famous energy drink brand is well known for supporting extreme sports event in addition to F1. The brand has chosen to come up beside Nuvolari, the greatest legend of a time when car competitions were referred to as the ultimate extreme sport. Today the legend of Tazio Nuvolari is still strong: it lives every year again during the Gran Premio thanks to numerous enthusiasts sharing their emotions gathered in an extraordinary journey on history and machine design masterpieces.

Also, Banca Generali confirms its partnership with Gran Premio for the fifth year running. “The name of Tazio Nuvolari is engraved in our imagination and embodies one of the greatest examples of Italian excellence through the commitment and dedication which marked his whole career. We share these elements; they guide us every single day in our work in defence of family properties” declares the company.

Requirements and registrations deadline

The registrations will be opened until July 31^st and shall exclusively be made on the website www.gpnuvolari.it. The Gran Premio Nuvolari admits cars built only between 1919 and 1972 owning one of the following: a F.I.V.A. Passport, or a Fiche F.I.A. Heritage, or A.S.I. Certification, or Fiche ACI Sport/C.S.A.I., or a membership to their own Brand Club.
