For the past thirty years, Eberhard & Co. has been connected with Tazio Nuvolari, one of the greatest drivers of all time, and the famous race named after him, the Gran Premio Nuvolari. Every year over 300 classic cars and fans from around the world come together in Mantova, ready to take on a 1000km course through the Italian regions of Lombardy, Veneto, Emilia-Romagna, Marche and Tuscany.
According to the history books, “Nivola” owned a watch from the Swiss Maison, though only the original box has been found. Eberhard & Co. donated a mechanical 1930s pocket watch with alarm function, identical to the original, which is still in its authentic box, to the Tazio Nuvolari Museum in Mantova.
Eberhard & Co.’s strong connection with the exciting world of retro-style motor races – dating back to the 1920s – was reinforced in 1992, the year the brand dedicated a special collection, inspired by the world of racing, to Tazio Nuvolari, and became Timekeeper and Official Partner of the Gran Premio Nuvolari. The Maison has been keeping time for this important event for the past 29 years, bringing style and unmistakeable elegance to every precious moment.

The inspiration for the functional and aesthetic features of the Tazio Nuvolari collection comes from the dashboards of classic racing cars, the extraordinary cars the “Mantovano Volante” led to so many victories.
The collection is enhanced with new models year after year: the latest piece is the “Nuvolari Legend”, an automatic chronograph
with a retro feel, defined by a black dial with a spiral tachymeter scale (Km/h) in the centre, a vintage-style antiquated leather strap and transparent sapphire glass caseback.
